On March 26 gallery owners in Lincoln county were invited to a meeting at the RRCA office/gallery to explore the possibilities and benefits of collaborating in their efforts to promote Ruidoso as a gallery destination. Thirteen gallery owners responded and have now become the Lincoln County Gallery Association. Marne Modine, of Square Moon Gallery, was elected president. They are proceeding to design and print a single-page brochure that will be distributed this summer to promote galleries in the county. The gallery owners present agreed that they would be open every friday until 7pm through the summer, beginning June 5. Lights Burn Bright on Friday Nights! It was agreed that this would be done in place of the RRCA Art After Hours Gallery Walks. On Saturday, July 25, the galleries will remain open for a promotion in conjunction with the Ruidoso Arts Festival. Look for more exciting news from the Lincoln County Gallery Association!
