Another doozie on how to see. Found this on the website for NY Times (thanks for the tip, Herb!)…here’s an excerpt that will give you an idea on where it’s going – but of course, I’d suggest reading the whole thing…slowly…several times:
“Almost nobody, over the course of that hour or two, paused before any object for as long as a full minute. Only a 17th-century wood sculpture of a copulating couple, from San Cristobal in the Solomon Islands, placed near an exit, caused several tourists to point, smile and snap a photo, but without really breaking stride.”

This reminds me of when I visited the Nelson-Atkins in Kansas City, MO a few years back. Stopping to soak in a single Monet for some 15 or 20 minutes…when you give these things time, they come alive!
