Cheryl’s paintings and bronze sculptures are influenced by her years in Alaska and growing up in the cow town of Miles City, Montana.
She gravitates towards portrait and figure painting in a blend of representative and impressionistic style, capturing the emotion, depth and mood of her subjects. Many of her paintings are “faces of the old West.” Cheryl also paints portraitures from photographs.
