The artist...

Since spending some of her youth in the Texas Hill Country, Joyce has recently returned to Kerrville after many years absence.  She has spent most of her adult life in the Rocky Mountains of Southern Colorado and Northern New Mexico.

Strong respect for this heritage is illustrated in the spiritual nature of Joyce’s Acrylics.  From the beauty and sorrow of her broken pots to the courage evident in her wolves and buffalo, Joyce’s work represents her deep-seated reverence for the Native American appreciation of the natural world.

Her deep love of the expansiveness and beauty of the Rocky Mountain country is reflected in Joyce’s mountain and landscape oil paintings. The warmth in her winter scenes are evidence of her true understanding of the mountain way of life.

Joyce has participated in numerous art shows throughout the Rocky Mountain country of Colorado and northern New Mexico, as well as, throughout Texas.  Her work has also been gallery showcased around the southwest, including in the highly regarded Santa Fe/Taos art community.

Joyce is an active member of the KAC, the KACC, GWG and River Art Group.  She now resides in Kerrville with her husband, who manages a Southwest business division for IBM.
