The greater Ruidoso Community will celebrate and honor our Military with a day filled with fun, family friendly events and activities. Plenty to do, see and hear with Music, Art, Games, Midtown Merchant participation!

The RRCA will be set up in the Parking area of the COMFORT INN for their KID’S KORNER with art activities and a Kid’s Slide.
Also an information booth for membership and volunteer forms.

Thursday through Sunday August 18 – 21. A very limited number of booth spaces will be available on a “first-come first-paid” basis. The applications will be available at the RRCA Office, payment for booth will be taken at the RRCA Office. $150.00 for current RRCA members and $200.00 for non-members. Payments for pre-arranged, completed applications will be accepted until Friday, July 29 at 3pm in the RRCA office. If there are still booth spaces available after July 29, they will be assigned by pre-payment only.
Any mailing of applications and payments should be done ASAP because of the limited spaces available.
RRCA Office Hours are Wed- Fri 10am – 3pm and limited hours on Saturdays during July. Please call ahead for the most accurate information. 257-7272
The Ruidoso Regional Council for the Arts will be presenting their 2nd Annual gourd art show in August of this year. The New Mexico Gourd Society (NMGS) will be one of the sponsors for this event. It is a juried exhibit that attracts outstanding gourd artists from all over New Mexico, Arizona and Texas. Watch this website posting for the latest news as the event fast approaches!
Anyone who is a resident of New Mexico, Arizona, or Texas may enter their artwork. An individual may enter up to three pieces, entry fees are as follows: $10 per item or 3 entries for $25.
The gourds may be entered in two major categories: gourd art and gourd art subject matter. The gourd art category is for the art on a gourd; and, the gourd subject matter is for art of any other medium (i.e. fabric, paintings, etc.) but must have a gourd featured as the subject.
All gourd art will be for sale with the R.R.C.A. receiving a 25% commission. There will be an Opening Reception on Saturday, August 6th, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.

Mark Your Calendars! Two weekends in July the Lincoln County Community Theater is presenting Blithe Spirit. Friday & Saturday July 22 & 23 Pre-performance dessert is at 6pm and the performance begins at 7pm. A Sunday Matinee at 2pm on July 24.
The following weekend Friday July 29 & Saturday July 30 again dessert served at 6pm each night and the performance begins at 7pm.
Mountain Annie’s Center for the Arts on Sudderth Dr. in Ruidoso’s midtown is the venue. Ticket price is $17.00 per person. Website: www.mountainannies.com.
