Dr. Peter Smith – retired Art Professor University of New Mexico
Come One, Come All!!! Opening Reception for the One-Man Exhibit will be Saturday July 2, 5-7pm at the RRCA Gallery. This exhibit will be of exceptional quality. A “Don’t Miss!” for your summer art experience. Dr. Smith works are multi-media, expressive, impressive and very unique.
Dr. Smith will wrap up his month-long show and sale with a workshop-discussion. He is a fountain of knowledge and experience and teaches innovation along 4 paths in the Art World today. Sign up early with Marne at the RRCA office because seating is limited. Mark Your Calendars! Workshop is Saturday July 30th at 10:00am. Cost is $25.00

ART EXPO! Second Annual Gallery Art Tour

Art Expo
With nearly a dozen area galleries participating, this self-directed tour will be a “Don’t Miss It” event. Sponsored by the Lincoln County Gallery Association. Guest artists, art demonstrations and entertainment will be at some designated galleries. Even door prizes for some lucky tour participants.
Plan to spend the weekend in and about Lincoln County because ART EXPO happens Friday, Saturday and Sunday June 24, 25, 26.

OPENING RECEPTION Saturday June 4th 5-7PM at the RRCA Gallery for the month-long running of this exciting combo! Yes, get two for the price of one (it’s really free). This Exhibition will feature the art and fine craftsmanship of Madeleine and Steve Sabo with their artistic art from wood.
Photographers of the Lincoln County Photographic Society will fill the walls with over 50 pieces of artistic photography! A great selection for sale, remember art makes a great Father’s Day gift!

Artistry in Fabric – The RRCA’s First Annual Quilt Art Show

Mother’s Day Annual Tomato Plant & Flower Basket Sale
Saturday May 7th 8AM until they’re all sold- about 2PM. Sale will be held in the Compass Bank Parking lot; 1710 Sudderth Drive. Also this year we’ll be selling baked goods like muffins, cookies and individually wrapped goodies for you to enjoy with your morning coffee or take with you and your beautiful new plants!

Shades of Pink
Go Pink!
We are partnering with Altrusa International, Inc. of Ruidoso to present Shades of Pink, a small works of art show. We are calling for artists across New Mexico (full time residents) to participate in the show, exhibiting at the RRCA Gallery and open to the public through the month of October. There is a $25 entry fee for one piece, $40 for two. Submissions must not exceed dimensions of 11” x 14” (call for details on fiber arts) and may include oil, pastel, acrylic, watercolor, pottery, jewelry, sculpture and fiber arts. A portion of the entry fees and sales commissions will be given to Altrusa. Altrusa is an organization international in scope, and local in focus. Service projects include annual low cost mammograms, Head Start books, domestic abuse shelter and Lincoln County Food Bank.

Rounding out the summer, get ready for RRCA’s Days at the Races 2010! This year we’ve secured a date to coincide with the All American Futurity – so the event is sure to be a great venue to sell, sell, sell.
Booth spaces are available – $150 for members, $200 for non-members. No commission on sales!
